The Sentinel
The Sentinel places a monumental carved head in a barren landscape where history and the cosmos seem to collide. Geometric markings cover the weathered stone, suggesting a civilization whose language or purpose can no longer be read. Craters and scattered rocks anchor the scene in physical terrain, while blue and amber movement in the sky and a distant celestial body pull it toward another scale entirely. Light and shadow create a quiet sense of vigilance. The work asks what remains of human knowledge when monuments outlive their makers and the universe continues beyond them.
