Infinity Game
Infinity Game places a pool table in the middle of an arid landscape and turns an ordinary game into a scene stretched across cosmic scale. Bright balls wait on the table while jagged rock formations rise from the surrounding ground. Above them, an immense dark sphere marked by the symbol of infinity hangs like a planet, accompanied by a ringed world, clouds and distant orbs. The combination is playful but not merely whimsical. By setting chance and skill against an apparently boundless universe, the painting asks how much of any game, and by extension any life, belongs to intention, accident or forces beyond the player’s control.
